An Act relative to the charter of the town of Provincetown.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 7 of the charter of the town of Provincetown, which is on file in the office of the Archivist of the Commonwealth as provided in Section 12 of chapter 43B of the general laws, is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:-
(a) The chief of police and the director of public works shall reside within 45 driving miles of the town of Provincetown and shall meet the requirements of this section within six months of assuming office.
(b) The fire chief shall be a resident of Provincetown, Truro or Wellfleet and shall meet the requirements of this section within six months of assuming office.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Or to take any other action relative thereto.
