An Act maintaining protective orders.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 209A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking subsection (h) and inserting in place thereof the following subsection:- 

(h) ordering the defendant to refrain from abusing or contacting the plaintiff’s child, or child in plaintiff’s care or custody, unless authorized by the court, which shall survive the death of the plaintiff until such order expires or is vacated by the court;.
