An Act authorizing the town of Tewksbury to convert a certain parcel of land to general recreational purposes.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 314 of the Acts of 1993 is hereby amended by striking out the words “the expansion of the town of Tewksbury baseball facilities” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “general recreational purposes, including, but not limited to, the town of Tewksbury baseball facilities and other active and passive recreational activities”.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding sections 32 to 37, inclusive, of chapter 7C of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance may amend the restriction described in a deed recorded in the Middlesex north registry of deeds in book 10054, page 109 to allow the parcel of land described therein to be used for general recreational purposes.

SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Tewksbury shall be responsible for all costs and expenses of any transaction authorized by this act as determined by the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance including, but not limited to, the costs of any recording fees or deed preparation.

SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
