An Act to ensure dependent health coverage for adults with disabilities.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Subdivision (P) of section 110 of chapter 175 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “age”, in line 463, the following words:-

or without regard to age, so long as the dependent, who is covered under the membership of his parent as a member of a family group, is mentally or physically incapable of earning their own living due to disability.

SECTION 2. Section 4T of chapter 176G of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “age”, in line 6, the following words:-

or without regard to age, so long as the dependent, who is covered under the membership of his parent as a member of a family group, is mentally or physically incapable of earning their own living due to disability.

SECTION 3. Section 1 of chapter 176J of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “age”, in line 86, the following words:-

or without regard to age, so long as the dependent, who is covered under the membership of his parent as a member of a family group is mentally or physically incapable of earning their own living due to disability.
