An Act standardizing definitions relative to veterans.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Definition of Veteran

Clause 43 of Section 7 of Chapter 4 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting in line 343 after the words “United States Coast Guard”, the following:-

“United States Space Force, United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Corps, United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps,”

SECTION 2. Definition of Armed Forces

Clause 43 of Section 7 of Chapter 4 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting in line 443 after the words “air force”, the following:-

“, United States Space Force”

SECTION 3. Military Service Requirements

108 CMR 3.02 is hereby amended by inserting after the words “Air Force”, the following:-

“Space Force, Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Corps,”
