An Act relative to the public's health and safety.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 53A of chapter 44 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “commissioners”, in line 14, the following words:- provided, however, that if said grant is meant to aid the public health and safety of the commonwealth or a political subdivision thereof, said grant funding shall be expended upon the approval of the general court and the governor and no approval from the intended grant recipient shall be necessary.
