An Act relative to vanity plate fees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1 Notwithstanding any special or general law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the registry of motor vehicles shall only charge a single special fee for a vanity plate registration. Any and all subsequent registration renewal fees shall be at the same amount as for standard non-vanity plates in the commonwealth.
SECTION 2 This act shall take effect on January 1st of the year following passage into law.
