Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The charter of the Town of Millis, originally adopted on May 2, 1977, as subsequently amended by Act of the General Court, is hereby amended by adding a new Section III-5(k), relating to additional authority of the town administrator as follows:

If a vacancy exists in the office of the town administrator, the select board shall approve all such warrants, or, may delegate such responsibility to a temporary town administrator.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
