An Act relative to mitigation during department of transportation projects.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4 of chapter 6C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 114, the word “and”.
SECTION 2. The second paragraph of said section 4 of said chapter 6C, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out clause (j) and inserting in place thereof the following 2 clauses:-
(j) for expenditures to small businesses, as defined in section 57 of chapter 23A, located within 500 feet of an active construction project operated by the department to mitigate any negative impacts on the small business resulting from the construction project; and
(k) for any other expense of the department necessary to carry out its purposes.
