An Act relative to county land disposition.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 14 of Chapter 34 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 27-29, the words “to the commonwealth and upon the non-acceptance by the commonwealth of any such offer, shall then be offered” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “in writing for sale or lease to the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance who shall determine whether any other state agency, as defined by section 1 of chapter 7C, has a current or foreseeable direct public use for the property. The commissioner shall have not less than 90 days and not more than 180 days to accept the offer to acquire the real estate through a sale or lease. Upon the commissioner’s non-acceptance of any such offer, the real estate shall then be offered in writing”.
