 The committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, to whom was referred the joint petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4588) of John J. Marsi (with the approval of the town council) for legislation to further regulate the granting of additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises in the city known as the town of Southbridge, reports recommending that the accompanying bill (House, No. 5096) ought to pass [Local Approval Received].

An Act relative to extending the timeframe within which the town of Southbridge may grant additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises.

 

 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

 SECTION 1. Subsection (e) of section 1 of chapter 214 of the acts of 2022, is hereby amended by striking out the date “December 31, 2025” and inserting in place thereof the following date:- January 2, 2029.

 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
