HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, April 6, 2026.

 The committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy, to whom were referred the message from Her Excellency the Governor recommending legislation relative to energy affordability, independence and innovation (House, No. 4144) and so much of the recommendations of the Inspector General (House, No. 11)  as relates to retail electricity suppliers (House, No. 15), reports recommending that the accompanying order (House, No. 5324) ought to be adopted.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts

 Ordered, That the committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy be authorized to sit during a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered 15 and 4144, relative to energy affordability, independence and innovation and retail electricity suppliers.

 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives on or before December 31, 2026.
