Jones, Jr. and others relative to municipal unemployment insurance; the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2148) of Joseph D. McKenna relative to public health prevailing wage exemptions; the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2159) of Orlando Ramos relative to fair wages on government subsidized construction projects; the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2161) of David Allen Robertson relative to ensuring fair and full employee compensation; and the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2174) of Adam J. Scanlon relative to salaries and wages for municipal employees, reports recommending that the accompanying order (House, No. 5362) ought to be adopted.

House of Representatives, April 15, 2026.

 

 Ordered, That the committee on Labor and Workforce Development be authorized to sit during a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered 2071, 2081, 2107, 2134, 2148, 2159, 2161 and 2174, relative to wages, compensation and municipal unemployment insurance.

 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives on or before December 31, 2026.
