An Act relative to increased availability of opioid antagonist medication.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.Chapter 94C of the General Laws, as appearing in the most recent edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new section:-

Section 19B3/4.(a) The department shall issue regulations requiring each agency and board of the Commonwealth to (1) acquire and maintain opioid antagonist medication; and (2) train employees on an annual basis on the usage of such medication.

(b) The department shall issue nonmandatory guidance to private employers on (1) acquiring and maintaining opioid antagonist medication; and (2) training employees on an annual basis on the usage of such medication.
