In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court

An Act relative to food dyes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 186 of Chapter 94 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out lines 83 and 84, and inserting in place thereof the following:
‘Tenth, if it falls below the standard of purity, quality or strength which it purports or is represented to possess; or
Eleventh, if it is food for human consumption that contains any added substance or ingredients which are poisonous or injurious to the health, including Red Dye 3, Red Dye 40, Yellow Dye 5, Yellow Dye 6, Blue Dye 1, Blue Dye 2, and Green Dye 3.’”
