An Act relative to the governance of the municipal light plant in the town of Hull.

 

 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

 Section 1. Subsection C of Section 4 of Chapter 8 of the Acts of 1989, as amended, is hereby amended by striking out paragraph 14A, as inserted by Chapter 93 of the Acts of 1993.

 Section 2. Upon the effective date of this act, the Municipal Light Board of the Town of Hull shall possess all powers, duties, and responsibilities regarding the operation, management, and control of the Municipal Light Plant as provided in Chapter 164 of the General Laws and any other applicable general or special law, including, but not limited to, the authority to make policy, to hire and fire the Municipal Light Plant Manager, subject to applicable collective bargaining agreements, civil service requirements, and other applicable law.

 Section 3. Nothing in this act shall be construed to impair existing lawful contracts, obligations, or collective bargaining agreements of the Municipal Light Plant.

 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
