An Act amending CH. 980 of the acts of 2007 relative to property owned by the Boys and Girls Club of Brockton, INC.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Be it ordered by the City Council of the City of Brockton to adopt a Home Rule Petition as follows:
That the following petition be approved and submitted to the Great and General Court for approval under Clause (1) of Section 8 of Article 2, as amended, of the Amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and to the end that legislation be adopted precisely as follows, except for clerical or editorial changes of form only.
Notwithstanding the foregoing or any general or special law to the contrary, the City of Brockton, acting by and through its Mayor, is hereby authorized to subordinate the City’s reversionary right, as related to the land sale transfer and restrictions related thereto, to a conventional lender of the Boys and Girls Club for the property located at 233 Warren Ave, Brockton, Massachusetts in an amount not to exceed One Million Three Hundred Thousand and Zero Cents ($1,300,000.00). This action shall take the form of a Subordination Authorization Agreement. And be it further ordered that the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the attached “Subordination Authorization and Agreement" and to take other actions necessary to carry out the terms, purposes and conditions of the same.
The authorization to subordinate the City’s reversionary right shall be limited to this one subordination and any further subordinations shall be subject to approval by the City Council under these terms.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
