An Act relative to the responsible sale of alcoholic beverages.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 15 of Chapter 138 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding after the sixth paragraph, the following new paragraph: --

A Section 15 licensee and the Section 15 licensee’s employees shall complete a training program every three (3) years that includes all of the following: (1) Instruction on the statutes and rules that govern the off premises sale of beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic beverages, and intoxicating liquor in this state; (2) Instruction on preventing the illegal retail of beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic beverages, and intoxicating liquor to persons under twenty-one years of age; (3) Instruction on not selling beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic beverages, and intoxicating liquor to intoxicated individuals; and (4) Instruction on preventing second party sales of beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic beverages, and intoxicating liquor that may reasonably result in persons under twenty-one years of age securing alcoholic beverages.
