An Act An act relative to new vehicle inspections.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 7A of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “registration” the following:-

“; provided, however, that for motor vehicles one model year old or less, the registrar shall require that the initial maintenance inspection mandated by this paragraph be valid for a period of two years, at which point the vehicle may receive two subsequent maintenance inspections that will be valid for periods of 2 years each.”
