An Act relative to successful de-escalation techniques.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary-
All law enforcement officers and student resource officers required to be trained in de-escalation techniques shall, subject to appropriation, be provided with de-escalation equipment that can serve as a barrier to protect the public and the officer so as to result in a de-escalated and safe interaction between law enforcement officials and the public and student resource officers and students
