An Act directing the department of state police to waive the maximum age requirement for Jonathan Lewis.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to Whereas , The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to authorize forthwith Jonathan Lewis to be eligible for appointment to the department of state police notwithstanding the maximum age requirement, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience., therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding section 10 of chapter 22C of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, Jonathan Lewis shall be eligible for appointment as a uniformed member of the department of state police if he meets all other requirements for such position, in which case he shall be eligible for certification and appointment to such position.
