An Act providing for the retirement status of employees of the division of natural resources of the town of Yarmouth.

 

 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

 SECTION 1. Employees of the division of natural resources of the town of Yarmouth  who operate in a law enforcement capacity and are certified police officers pursuant to chapter 6E of the General Laws, shall be Group 4 employees pursuant to clause (g) of subdivision (2) of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws. Notwithstanding sections 1 to 28, inclusive, of said chapter 32, all prior credible service rendered before the effective date of this act by an employee of the division of natural resources operating in a law enforcement capacity as of the date of this act will be considered Group 4 service. 

 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
