An Act relative to designating September 25th as 9 to 5 Day in honor of Dolly Parton.

 

 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

 Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 15FFFFFFF the following section:-

 Section 15GGGGGGG. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation calling for a proper observance of September twenty-fifth as 9 to 5 Day, in lasting recognition of the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, whose voice and songwriting inspired generations of working people and whose service to others, dedication to childhood literacy and promotion of human dignity and acceptance uplifted communities in Massachusetts and throughout the world.
