An Act authorizing the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to supply water to the town of Wayland.

 

 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

 SECTION 1.  Paragraph (d) of section 8 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984, as most recently amended by section 1 of chapter 15 of the acts of 2025, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “Watertown” the following word:- , Wayland.

 SECTION 2. Paragraph (a) of section 23 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “Watertown”, the following word:- , Wayland.

 SECTION 3.  Notwithstanding section 1, the provision of water services by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to the town of Wayland shall commence only after the board of directors of the authority has voted approval having first made the findings as required by clauses (1) to (6), inclusive, of paragraph (d) of section 8 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984 and having made other such determinations in accordance with applicable policies of the authority and after all required approvals have been received including, as applicable, other regulatory bodies where required and the advisory board of the authority, but section 71 of said chapter 372 shall not apply.
