An Act relative to the visibility of fire hydrants.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 148 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 27B the following section:-
Section 27C. Fire hydrant visibility
Fire hydrants installed in the commonwealth or any political subdivision thereof located in any public or private way shall be painted in colors that maximize their visibility, contrast with their surroundings, and do not include the color white unless used as a secondary color to contrast with the surroundings of the area.
