By Mr. Winslow of Norfolk, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2282) of Daniel B. Winslow for legislation to exempt the recording of emergency 911 telephone calls, so-called, from laws governing the interception of wire and oral communications.  The Judiciary.

An Act relative to expediting 911 calls.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1. Section 99 of chapter 272 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended in paragraph D by inserting after clause (f) the following:

              (g) for any operator or dispatcher of the state 911 system to record an emergency telephone communication  without notifying the caller that the call is being recorded.
