By Ms. Hogan of Stow, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3073) of Kate Hogan, Donald F. Humason, Jr. and Danielle W. Gregoire that the the Aeronautics Division be authorized to use Airport Safety and Maintenance Program funding for pavement projects at public-use airports.  Transportation.

An Act relative to public-use airport pavement improvement.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              Notwithstanding the provisions of any other general or special law to the contrary, the aeronautics division of the department of transportation is hereby authorized to establish a pavement improvement program for public-use airports not eligible for federal airport improvement program funding. The department shall utilize available appropriated funds for airport development and planning projects and shall be authorized to reimburse up to 97.5% of the total cost of a pavement improvement project funded pursuant to this section.
