Keenan and others for legislation to exempt veterans from paying excise tax on leased motor vehicles, reports recommending that the accompanying bill (House, No. 3645) ought to pass.

An Act allowing disabled veterans and prisoners of war who lease motor vehicles to be exempt from excise tax.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 83 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 2. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 88 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 3. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 95 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 4. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 101 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 5. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 112 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 6. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 114 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 7. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 121 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 8. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 151 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 9. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 153 by inserting after the word “owner” the words:- “or lessee”.

              SECTION 10. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 155 by inserting after the word “owned” the words:- “or leased”.

              SECTION 11. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 166 by inserting after the word “ownership” the words:- “or lease”.

              SECTION 12. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 168 by inserting after the word “owner” the words:- “or lessee”.

              SECTION 13. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 169 by inserting after the word “ownership” the words:- “or lease”.

              SECTION 14. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 official edition, is hereby amended in line 172 by inserting after the word “owner” the words:- “or lessee”.
