Straus and others for legislation to validate the proceedings of the Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School District relative to the authorization of debt by said district.  Municipalities and Regional Government.

In the Year Two Thousand Twelve

An Act validating certain actions taken by the Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School District relative to certain borrowing.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              Secton 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, district agreement provision, town by-law or town meeting vote to the contrary, all actions taken by the Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School District (the "district") taken to authorize the borrowing of $2,500,000 to replace the Old Colony school building urethane foam roof and renovation of the existing science laboratory located at 476 North Avenue, Rochester, Massachusetts, including the payment of all costs incidental or related thereto on April 15, 2011, and all actions taken by the towns of Acushnet, Carver, Lakeville, Mattapoisett, and Rochester (collectively, the "member towns") to approve of such debt, are hereby ratified, validated, approved and confirmed in all respects and such debt is hereby deemed to be properly authorized by the district and may be lawfully issued by the district without the taking of any further action by the district or the member towns.

              Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
