Amendment #13 to H3400

Sales Tax Rollback

[Sponsors] Representatives Jones of North Reading, Peterson of Grafton, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleboro, and deMacedo of Plymouth move to amend the bill by inserting, after section XX, the following sections:

“SECTION AA. Section 2 of chapter 64H of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 53 of chapter 27 of the Acts of 2009, is hereby amended by striking out the words “6.25 per cent” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 5.625 per cent.

SECTION BB. Section 2 of said chapter 64H of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the words “5.625 per cent” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 5 per cent.

SECTION CC. Section 30A of chapter 64H, as most recently amended by section 53 of chapter 27 of the Acts of 2009, is hereby amended by striking out, in each instance in which it appears, the word “6.25” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure:- 5.625.

SECTION DD. Section 30A of said chapter 64H, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in each instance in which it appears, the word “5.625” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure:- 5.

SECTION EE. Section 2 of chapter 64I of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 53 of chapter 27 of the Acts of 2009, is hereby amended by striking out the words “6.25 per cent” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 5.625 per cent.

SECTION FF. Section 2 of said chapter 64I of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the words “5.625 per cent” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 5 per cent.

SECTION GG. Section 31A of chapter 64I, as most recently amended by section 53 of chapter 27 of the Acts of 2009, is hereby amended by striking out, in each instance in which it appears, the word “6.25” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure:- 5.625.

SECTION HH. Section 31A of said chapter 64I, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in each instance in which it appears, the word “5.625” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure:- 5.

; and further, by inserting after SECTION XX, the following sections:

SECTION XX. Sections AA, CC, EE, and GG, inclusive, of this act shall be effective on July 1, 2012.

SECTION XX. Sections BB, DD, FF, and HH, inclusive, of this act shall be effective on July 1, 2013.”.
