Adult Foster Care and Group Adult Foster Care

[Sponsors] Representative Wolf of Cambridge and Balser of Newton move that the bill be amended in section 2, in item 4000-0600, by

adding the following language:

“provided further the rates paid by MassHealth to providers of adult foster care and group adult foster care shall be those in effect as of January 1, 2011. Provided further that the rate of expenditure in FY 11 shall continue until at least December 31, 2011.  The Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Secretary of Elder Affairs shall work with representatives of House and Senate Ways and Means Committee, the Joint Committee on Elder Affairs and the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing and other interested parties to assess the necessary and appropriate level of continued care in these programs recognizing that they are an integral part of the Equal Choice Law.”
