CPCS Counsel Fees

[Sponsors] Representative Scaccia of Boston moves to amend the bill in section 2, by striking out item 0321-1518, and inserting in place thereof the following:

"0321-1518     For the chief counsel of the committee for public counsel services which may expend an amount not to exceed $8,000,000 from revenues collected from fees charged for attorney representation of indigent clients; provided further, that $7,250,000 shall be for the purposes of compensation paid to private counsel assigned to criminal and civil cases under paragraph (b) of section 6 of chapter 211D of the General Laws, pursuant to section 11 of said chapter 211D……………………………………………………………………..$8,000,000 "
