Amendment #437 to H3400

Quinn Bill

[Sponsors] Representatives Poirier of North Attleboro, Jones of North Reading, O'Connell of Taunton, Gifford of Wareham, Kuros of Uxbridge, Levy of Marlborough, Ferguson of Holden and Webster of Pembroke move to amend the bill by inserting after section XX the following section:-

“Section XX.  Section 108L of chapter 41 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting in line 32 after the word “commonwealth” the following:- ‘, subject to appropriation,’

Section XX.  Section 108L of chapter 41 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting in line 43 after the word “education.” the following sentence:- "Notwithstanding the provisions of this paragraph, no city or town which accepts the provisions of this section shall be responsible for more than one half of the cost of such payments."
