Assessment for Safe and Appropriate Placement Instrument, ASAP

[Sponsors] Representative Khan of Newton moves that the bill be amended by inserting after SECTION 107,  new SECTION XXX to read as follows: -

"All state agencies which use the ASAP,  Assessment for Safe and Appropriate Placement, instrument will: 1) consult with relevant experts to revise the assessment instrument based on evidence-based practice;  2) create a process for keeping the instrument current with evolving best practice standards; and, 3) ensure that all relevant staff are informed about the ASAP and have appropriate training in how to make referrals and incorporate ASAP results into their case management and treatment planning".
