Gateway Police Officer Retention

[Sponsors] Representatives Aguiar of Fall River, Sullivan of Fall River and Schmid of Westport move to amend the bill by inserting, after section XX, the following section:-

“Section XX.  Any gateway municipality, as defined section 3A of said chapter 23A, shall be able to use funds received from the Senator Charles E. Shannon, Jr. Community Safety Initiative, Drug Asset and Forfeiture accounts, and other like accounts for the purposes of retaining or rehiring municipal police officers for fiscal year 2012.”
