Amendment #587 to H3400

UMass Cranberry Experiment Station Funding Amendment

[Sponsors] Representatives Markey of Dartmouth, Canessa of New Bedford, Straus of Mattapoisett, Atkins of Concord, and Smizik of Brookline move to amend the bill in section 2 in line item 7100-0200 by adding the following:

“Provided further, that the sum expended for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Cranberry Experiment Station at Wareham in fiscal year 2012 shall not be reduced from fiscal year 2009 levels, except in proportion to adjustments consistent with the university budget adjustments; provided further, that such funds shall be expended in accordance with a plan reviewed and recommended by the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Cranberry Experiment Station Board of Oversight.”
