Amendment #661 to H3400

Office of Access and Opportunity

[Sponsors] Ms. Fox of Boston, and Representatives Forry of Boston, Sciortino of Medford, Provost of Somerville, Holmes of Boston, Walsh of Boston, Andrews of Orange, and Devers of Lawrence move to amend the bill, in section 11, by adding the following paragraph:-

(f) The office of access and opportunity shall be headed by an assistant secretary for access and opportunity, to be appointed by the secretary with the approval of the governor. With the approval of the secretary, the assistant secretary shall take administrative actions, including but not limited to promulgating administrative bulletins and other policies, to promote and ensure nondiscrimination and equal opportunity in the policies, services, programs, and activities of executive agencies.
