Section 19 Coalition Bargaining in Municipal Health Reform

[Sponsors] Mr. Kaufman of Lexington moves to amend the bill in section 46, in line 389, by inserting after “enrollment.” the following: -

“Any such increases are exempt from both collective bargaining and the provisions of Chapter 150E.  Further the authority granted by this section supersedes any other provision of chapter 32B.”

And in section 46, in line 391, by inserting after “paragraphs” the following:-

“and the preceding sentences”

And in section 46, in line 396, by inserting after “chapter 32B” the following:-

“and shall supersede chapter 150E and section 19 of chapter 32B”

And in section 46, in line 412, by inserting after “chapter 32B.” the following:-

“If a governmental unit has accepted section 19 and then accepts this section, the acceptance of this section shall supersede section 19 and any agreement reached thereunder.”
