Medicaid DSH Rates

[Sponsors] Representatives Torrisi of North Andover, Kane of Holyoke, Devers of Lawrence, Sciortino of Somerville, Wolf of Cambridge, Toomey of Cambridge, Ashe of Longmeadow, Swan of Springfield, Brownsberger of Belmont, Puppolo of Wilbraham, Sullivan of Fall River, Humason of Westfield, Curran of Springfield, Finn of West Springfield, and Adams of Andover move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4000-0500, in line 12, by inserting after “herein” the following:

“provided further, that the Executive Office of Health and Human Services shall maintain the adjustment in the RY2011 Acute Hospital RFA, Reimbursement System Section, D. 5.a. in the RY2012 Acute Hospital RFA Medicaid standard payment amount per discharge for any hospital that has greater than 63% of its gross patient service revenue from governmental payers and free care.”
