Amendment #15 to H4100
prohibiting tobacco
Mr. Peterson of Grafton moves to amend the bill by inserting, after section XX, the following three sections:—
“SECTION XX. Chapter 270, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking section 6, in its entirety, and inserting, in place thereof, the following new section:—
Section 6. Distributing, possessing or using any cigarette, chewing tobacco, snuff or any tobacco in any of its forms by a person is prohibited. Any offenders shall be punished by a fine of no less then $150 for the first offense, not less than $200 for a second offense and not less than $300 for any third offense or subsequent offense or by imprisonment in a house of corrections for not more than 6 months.
SECTION XX. Sections 6A and 21 of chapter 270, of the General Laws, are hereby repealed.
SECTION XX. Section 22 of chapter 270, of the General Laws, is hereby repealed.”.
