Amendment #182 to H4100

Allowance to Widows and Widowers of Disabled Public Employees

Mr. Scibak of South Hadley moves to amend the bill after section 98 the following section:

"Section X. The second paragraph of section 101 of chapter 32, as inserted by section 28 of chapter 131 of the acts of 2010,  shall be amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in its place the following new sentence:-

“Any retirement system may accept the supplemental annual allowance, provided for by this section and fixed at the rate of twelve thousand dollars, by a majority vote of the board of each such system, subject to the approval of the legislative body.”
