Weigh Stations Study

Mr. deMacedo of Plymouth moves to amend the bill by inserting, after SECTION XX, the following section:-

“SECTION XX.  Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, the secretary of the executive office of public safety shall furnish a study on the economic potential of utilizing the weight station checkpoints of the commonwealth for the purpose of weighing commercial vehicles travelling in the commonwealth.   This proposal study shall be furnished to the clerks of the House and Senate, as well as with the joint committee on public safety and homeland security.  If the proposal requires legislation, it shall be filed with the clerks.”
