Amendment #4 to H4100

An Act relative to the inspection of dumbwaiters.

Mr. Webster of Pembroke moves to amend the bill by adding the following sections:

Section 1. Section 64 of chapter 143 of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2008 Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “years:.”, in line 6, the following:—

provided, however, that dumbwaiters, electric or otherwise, as defined in the board of elevator regulations in owner-occupied residences shall be inspected and tested at intervals of not less than 5 years;

Section 2. The General Laws are hereby further amended by striking the last sentence beginning on line 12 and ending on line 17 from section 62 of chapter 143.
