Amendment #434 to H4100

Civil War Veterans Monuments

Representatives Rushing of Boston and Andrews of Orange move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 1410-0630 the following item:

"1410-xxxx For restoration grants for Civil War Veterans Monuments, Memorials, and other significant sites across the Commonwealth that are not well known or in disrepair including memorials, monuments, veterans burial sites, historical homes of Civil War veterans, and underground railroad sites from the era to be administered in conjunction with the Massachusetts Foundation for the  Humanities to receive proposals and award grants for the restoration, preservation, improvement, and marking of said Civil War veterans monuments, memorials, and important sites across the Commonwealth. $500,000."
