An amendment relative to target share funding

Mr. Lyons of Andover moves to amend the bill in section 2, in  item 7061-0008, in line 4, by inserting after the words "Section 3"  the following: "The total amounts to be distributed and paid to each city and town through chapter 70 education aid shall be at a minimum 17.5 percent of their Foundation Budget"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$4,154,611,977" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$4,266,611,977"; and section 3, in line 29 and 30, by striking out the following: "If there is a conflict between the language of this section and the distribution listed below, the distribution below shall control" and inserting in place thereof the following: " The total amounts to be distributed and paid to each city and town through chapter 70 education aid shall be at a minimum 17.5 percent of their Foundation Budget. If there is a conflict between the language of this section and the distribution listed below, the language of this section shall control”.
