Amendment #598 to H4100

An Act relative to immigrant sponsorship

Representatives O'Connell of Taunton, Diehl of Whitman, Orrall of Lakeville and Webster of Pembroke move to amend House Bill 4100 by adding the following sections: “Section XX:  Not withstanding any general or special law to the contrary, all sponsors of an immigrant brought to the United States via an I-130 Form shall be billed on a yearly basis for all public means-tested assistance received by the sponsored immigrant. If necessary, legal proceedings shall be initiated to collect all money owed to any state agencies. “
