Amendment #635 to H4100

Representatives Toomey of Cambridge, Rushing of Boston, O'Day of West Boylston, Sciortino of Medford, Andrews of Orange, Cariddi of North Adams, Balser of Newton, Forry of Boston, Fox of Boston, Khan of Newton, Provost of Somerville, Sannicandro of Ashland, Turner of Dennis and Walsh of Framingham move to amend the bill in Section 35

by striking out in line 515 the word “cleansing, “ and by adding in line 517 after the word “soap” the words:- “shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, or other personal hygiene products”;

by adding in line 542 before the word:-  “play”  the words:- “commercially offered” and by adding in line 543 after the word “persons” the words:- “, but shall not include performances offered by, at or through any preschool, school, college or university, public library, church or nonprofit organization”;

by inserting in line 547 after the word  “interstate”  the words:- “ travel for vacation,” and by inserting in line 547 after the words “foreign travel” the words:- “except in the case of the death of a family member or family emergency” and striking out in lines 547 and 548 the words “including transportation and vacation services”;

by striking out in lines 551 and 552 the words “any service or product, including, without limitation” and inserting in place thereof the words:- “the following services or products”;

by inserting in line 554 after the word “material” the words:- “or performance”;

by inserting in line 556 after the word “admission” the words:-- “for any person aged 18 or older”;

by striking out in line 557 the word “medical” and inserting in place thereof the word:- “health” , striking out in line 558 the words “any member of the bar or” and by adding in line 558 after the word “112”  the words:- “not including services provided for ordinary personal grooming, funeral or final disposition”;

by inserting in line 559 after the word “93” the words:- “not including programs at a community center or similar nonprofit facility”;

by inserting in line 561  before the word:- “goods” the word:- “non-household” , by striking out in line 561 the words “real property”; and by adding in line 561 after the word “or” the words:- “the rental of household electronic equipment for entertainment purposes such as televisions”

by striking out in line 562 the words “tax, fee” and inserting in place thereof the word:- “fine”;

by adding in line 568 after the word:- “commonwealth” the words:- “except for states that immediately border the commonwealth”;  by striking out in line 568 the word:- “may” and inserting in place thereof the word:- “shall” ; and by striking out in lines 570 and 571 the words:-“for emergency purposes” and inserting in place thereof  the words:- “or its border states for purposes other than vacation”;

by inserting  in line 577  after he words:- “subject to” the word:- “a”;

by striking out in line 585 the word “use,”; and

by striking out in line 590 the word:- “, used”.
