Amendment #655 to H4100

Expanding the Fire Safety (SAFE) Program to Seniors

Representatives Hogan of Stow, Coakley-Rivera of Springfield, Puppolo of Springfield, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Ashe of Longmeadow and Garlick of Needham move to amend House No. 4100 in Section 2, item 8324-0000, in line 6, by inserting  after the words “expenses of the council” the following:

“provided, that $1,000,000 shall be allocated by the department for senior awareness of fire education which shall include education about the risk of fire to seniors and the purchase of safety devices for the benefit of at risk seniors”

And in said item by striking the figures “$13,218,884” and inserting in its place thereof, the figures “$14,218,884”
