Expanding collective bargaining rights for legislative branch employees

Representatives Winslow of Norfolk, Scaccia of Boston and Rogers of Norwood moves to amend the bill by inserting the following sections:-

SECTION XX.  Section 1 of chapter 150E, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 10, after the word “executive” the following: - “legislative,”

SECTION XX.  Section 1 of chapter 150E, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 77, after the word “employees” the following sentence: -

“In the case of employees of the general court,  “employer” shall mean the speaker of the house of representatives and the president of the senate or any individual designated by them to represent the general court or act in its interest in dealing with employees.”
