Amendment #720 to H4100

Toxics Use Reduction Institute Funding

Representatives Gobi of Spencer, Ferrante of Gloucester, Dykema of Holliston, Kaufman of Lexington, Smizik of Brookline, Kocot of Northampton, Ferguson of Holden, Cantwell of Marshfield, Ehrlich of Marblehead, Miceli of Wilmington, Andrews of Orange, Mahoney of Worcester, O'Day of West Boylston and Provost of Somerville move to amend House Bill 4100, in section 2, in item 2210-0105, by inserting after the words, “implementation requirements of said chapter 21I;” the following:-

 

“ provided, that not less than $1,629,860 from this item shall be made available for the operation of the Toxics Use Reduction Institute program at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell; provided further, that the department shall enter into an interagency service agreement with the University of Massachusetts to make such funding available for this purpose; provided further, that not less than $644,096 from this item shall be made available for toxics use reduction technical assistance and technology in accordance with chapter 21I of the General Laws;”.
